I really enjoy cooking/baking when I'm not in a rush. When I nail it, I (and Ian and Amanda)are happy campers. At some point, maybe we (you know who you all are) could take a cooking class at the Culinary Institute. Any interest?
Something fun - hey, I'm on the Institute's site now checking out their calendar... http://www.iceculinary.com/recreational/calendar.shtml#oct
The Brownie Workshop on 10/16 (or 12/6) looks mighty nifty. Ditto for cupcake workshops! But I'll try anything. I'll check for some other classes, see if anything a little cheaper is out there.
cool. I will do the same. There's so much I want to do, and on this cold day, I want to learn to make more soups! More desserts, breads (I have to buy a bread maker, too, and to expand my entrees, but want to find things that are fairly quick to make. I crack up with that commercial with the woman who says what do you want tonight, beef or chicken? Because we fall into that trap sometimes.
I have a breadmaker, we can share. :-) You and I have always been so alike, I want to do all this stuff - I've been dragging Stacey to Michael's to show me beads because now I want to start beading, I have to get better acquainted with my sewing machine, you name it. I feel like a shark, you stop swimming, you die.
I have some good soup and stew recipes for you, especially my chicken corn chowder. Mike has a rockin' beef stew.
Hey! I started a blog for us to post about recipes and cooking to right after I read your message - it's weecook.blogspot.com, and I put you, Stacey, Nancy and Lauren on as team members so you can go right in and blog on it yourselves, too!

I'd be interested! I love baking and cooking. I'm dying to surround myself with my gurlfriends again, I miss everyone so much.
I think it would be a whole lotta fun! What kind of stuff do you want to make?

Cool! Maybe we should start posting recipes to swap, or a separate collective blog for us for just cooking stuff...hmmm
Roe, I also sent you an email about some knitting stuff that might be of interest.
