The First Time We Met

This is a poem written by my daughter for a school contest. I thought it was pretty amazing. She is eleven years old.

The First Time We Met

The first time we met,
the time I will never forget,
because being with you is all I need,
in my thoughts and in my dreams.
The first time we met,
I knew I was in love,
that very second I just knew,
that if you were to know me,
we would be in true love,
not the kind you see on tv,
or what you hear on the radio,
but true love is what I mean.
The first time we met,
the time I will never forget,
because if I die before you,
you will always know,
that I will be waiting for you.
So never forget,
that I LOVE you!
That will always be true!
