The Power of Baking

Ah, nothing like a leisurely Sunday and the smell of a freshly-baked apple pie in your kitchen. Even better, eating a warm slice of apple pie with a dollup of vanilla ice cream on top!

Practicing for Thanksgiving I hope...?

Are we doing Thanksgiving this year? I offer up my place if we need a location.

I am planning to do a holiday shindig on Sat., Dec. 3, if that flies with all. Roe, it's sorely temptly to use your place, but I was bummed about not doing it last year, so I can take the heat. My place isn't big (it's smaller than old place, but larger kitchen, and larger Amanda's room, lots windows), but we can make Amanda's room the kiddie room and we can manage, I think, right? It's gonna be pot luck. I'll draw an invite up this week.

Awesome, I'll make sure the date is saved. I'll whip up one of my tasty Cooking Light recipes. I had a good one for cranberry-pecan stuffing that went over huge when I made it for our family's Turkey Day fest a couple years ago.

I think I'm going to make something that is not light at all, something buttery...

Indulge! I love butter on almost anything.

Stacey is going to make cheese, mayo and iceberg lettuces sandwiches on white bread. ;-)
